Full Policy
The Harvard Outing Club aims to bring the Harvard community into the outdoors and the Harvard academic community by offering official HOC trips, on-campus social events, and access to our large gear collective. As we believe that financial concerns should never create a barrier between anybody and the outdoors, the Harvard Outing Club offers full, need-blind. This includes the full cost of a biannual membership and the cost associated with an official HOC trip. Any amount of coverage that is requested by a prospective or current member of the Harvard Outing Club will be fully provided, no questions asked.
The Harvard Outing Club will also never discriminate against a prospective, current, or former member on the basis of their ability to pay the full cost of a biannual membership or an official HOC trip, regardless of demonstrated financial need. Anybody affiliated with Harvard University is welcome and encouraged to become a member of the Harvard Outing Club.
